Who knew erotic sports drama is a genre.Β
Lived this movie.
Australia is really unbeatable, isn’t it.
All the star players were not in the team and they still chased this high of a target.
πΊ Paatal Lok (2020)
Before starting Season 2, to remind myself how amazing season 1 was, I re-watched and it still holds up. What an amazing show we got here. One thing I really liked was the location of Chitrakoot. Looks very cool and I hope that I get to visit it one day.
Looking forward to season 2 now.
Looking to change kitchen faucet and learned that Delta, Moen etc. make different (read cheap) products for big box stores.
If you want really good faucets, go to their website but it’s $$$$.

Good to see my hero @merlinmann on micro.blog.
Welcome onboard sir.
There is a Chinese family in my community who I have hi-hello relation with. They have a cute small dog (not sure of breed but something like Pomeranian) who I see very often. I was on walk last night and saw the dog with wheelchair attached to rear body. After inquiring, the owner told me that his spine is broken and he can’t use his rear legs anymore.
The dog doesn’t know what happened but just trying to run around as well as he could. He was just happy and frolic.
After exchanging pleasantries and after walking a bit, I broke down.
I am happy that the dog has such a decent owner who continues to take care of him but the fact that dog just doesn’t know any better and continues to do what dogs do, made me emotional.
I will probably never have a pet due to various reasons but I wholeheartedly love dogs.
Severence is playing at another level altogether. I am enjoying all seasons equally. π Huge shoutout to the cinematography, especially specific scene in the recent episode where Helly is walking across the building and it’s captured from outside POV. Ufff….
Got a new credit card with expiry date in 2030 π±.
This can’t be correct. 1980 was 20 years ago, right… right?
The “Garaj Garaj Rock/Sitar Version” is such a banger.
Really lifts your mood.
So this happened.
πΊ Deadloch (2023) - β β β β β
So happy to stumble upon this show on Amazon Prime. It’s an excellent murder mystery dark comedy. I literally laughed out loud so many times and the mystery is well resolved. One of the lead character is bit annoying in beginning but grows on you.
πΊ Cross (2024) - β β β β β
There was some slack in the middle but overall, I really enjoyed the show. It landed the finale.
Planning a trip to Europe this spring break. Probably will just stick to one country and it would be Italy.
Visiting that country has been my dream since childhood.
I could have been a fully sponsored college graduate from an Italian university but that’s a story for another day.
Guess which behemoth of a company is going to be exempt from upcoming China-Import-Tariffs.

I really wonder about what’s going on in personal lives of such people who base their identity around a cult.
Also, calm yourself dear as you guys won.
I saw βThe Last Duelβ during winter break and was really impressed with this medieval feminist saga.
Arguably, this movie is hard to watch and one should be aware of ample trigger warning of SA (multiple times as movie has three POVs of same incident).
I loved the movie so much that I bought digital copy immediately after watching it on Hulu (well, to be fair, it was only $5, which is unbelievably cheap for such an epic movie)
The sceneries, especially castles, look really good and I was so glad to see regular day-to-day affairs in medieval times.
The last 30 mins of this movie was just so well shot and was so suspenseful that I was literally standing while watching it.
The best part is that this movie is based on true story which is very well documented. I guess I will be spending some time on Wikipedia in coming days.
I hope I don’t jinx it but have a feeling of Rohit’s century.

I am perpetually reading J. R. R. Tolkien’s works (The Hobbit, LOTR and Silmarillion) but these are the new books I finished in 2024. Not much to show this year but looking forward to another great year of books in 2025.
Rupee slips past 85/USD to all-time low
As FDI’s decline, the high remittances ($129 Billion in 2024) are keeping INR floating.
“Laapataa Ladies” didn’t make to Oscar shortlist.
I don’t give much credence to Oscars anymore but it is a prestigious platform to put good Indian cinema in front of world.
Aamir keeps pushing his bids to get an academy award but keeps overpowering some good movies which actually have a shot.
This was in my WatchList for a long time and for some reason, I always thought this movie is part of 'Final Destination' franchise.
Boy, was I wrong. This movie has a very interesting time travel paradox and executes it very well.
I have some disagreements with the final third of movie but overall, it was a good watch.
P.S. -- If you love such mind bending time travel paradoxes, do give a shot to Netflix series 'Dark'.
Pretty much sums it up.
I am not a horror junkie but if a horror movie is well reviewed and known to be well made, I do watch it. This one came highly recommended so gave it a shot and what a banger it was. The climax was very well done.
I have observed that my teenage daughter now appreciates good movies so I am slowly introducing her to few of my favorites.
We watched this one last night and really had a good time discussing all the hints afterwards. Hope she watches it again and again and again, just like his old man.
